The act of connecting a resistance to the device located at the end of the RS-485 daisy chain. As the daisy chain connection gets longer, signal reflection occurs more frequently at the end of the daisy chain, interrupting the flow of current. A resistance can be connected to the device at the end of the daisy chain to suppress such reflections and obtain good signal quality.
