- Parallel port: An I/O port that transmits data simultaneously through a parallel interface.

- Piggybacking: One of the fraudulent authentication-based access methods where a person without permission to access a restricted zone intentionally enters said zone together with a person who has access permissions. Generally, piggybacking refers to the act of gaining unauthorized access with intent, while tailgating refers to the act of gaining unauthorized access without intent.

- PoE(Power over Ethernet): A system that powers the device through an Ethernet cable. Because this system only requires a single cable to transfer data and supply power to the device, it is easy to install and scale, and can also reduce wiring costs.
- Port number: The port number used for intercommunication in TCP/UDP. Its range is from 0 to 65535.
- Private authentication: An authentication method where user authentication is performed according to the combination of credentials specified by the administrator. This method takes precedence over other authentication methods.
