BioStar 2 supports its mobile app for both Android and iOS(you can find from the both app market by searching BioStar 2). With this app, users can access to their local BioStar 2 server anywhere anytime, and can do the basic admin level of system management without having to use a desktop PC or a laptop. Also, this is quite effective when you control a device without a LCD display and menu buttons. For example, when you need to enroll a new user or block a certain user, originally it’s necessary to go to your workstation or company’s admin desk which is physically located in a difference place most of the time. But, with the mobile app, you can simply check and guide an user enrollment not only to a device near to you and but to synchronize to all the connected devices without going through your local BioStar 2 server.

In order to use BioStar 2 Mobile App, it is required to make your local BioStar 2 server connected to the Internet and register your BioStar 2 server to BioStar 2 Cloud. Then, the local server can have an unique sub-domain which becomes an unique ID for your local server, and users can access to the local server with this unique sub-domain name.

BioStar 2 Cloud is designed to work as a communication mediator, including BioStar 2 Web API. There is no BioStar 2 server in the cloud for such as SAAS(Software-as-a-Service) or cloud access control system. In other words, BioStar 2 Cloud is more about a gateway to your local BioStar 2 server to be accessible from anywhere anytime.
